PILATES AT THE FARM

Pilates Core and Flexibility is a workshop that will build on weekly exercises to strengthen your core and create flexibility in your body to feel healthier in your daily life. Pilates works on core stabilizing muscles to support good posture, back strength and overall muscle toning. Flexibility exercises will be interspersed within the class to keep you limber and strong. All levels are welcome! Come to have fun, learn and move from a strong center!
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Shannon Rooney is a certified yoga and Pilates instructor. With a dance background and an active lifestyle, she felt instantly passionate about the mind-body connection that Pilates and yoga brings to your health. She personally has found strength and healing from past injuries, and she loves the way that Pilates creates symmetry in the body and a strong connection with the core. She believes that this connection is accessible to everyone from first-time beginners to highly experienced students. She is trained through Balanced Body University and is PMA certified for Pilates. She is also a 500 RYT yoga instructor with a prenatal certification. Shannon has experience teaching students of all abilities and levels. Her classes and private sessions are strong, fun, and encouraging with a deep knowledge of the body. She likes to bring clear instruction and a sense of playfulness into her teaching style. Shannon’s number one goal is to empower and inspire students to connect with their own strength, health and well-being.

Yoga & Mindfulness is perfect for yoga lovers of all levels!
Cathy Yonaitis has been teaching Yoga for 15 years. She has a background in Occupational Therapy and primarily worked in Neuro-Rehabilitation and Orthopedics at Moses Cone Hospital. She discovered the healing benefits of Yoga in 2002 and began to incorporate it into her therapy practice, with tremendous results. She now teaches yoga full time, privately and in her home studio, Unite Us Yoga and Therapeutics. She has a special interest in therapeutics, and how yoga is a healing art form, that affects body, mind, and spirit. Her classes include mindfulness, yoga philosophy, physical alignment principles that promote balance and strength in the body, mind, and spirit. She teaches to all levels, and believes Yoga is meant to create space in the body and mind. Yoga is here to promote stability, to prepare your mind for meditation. Yoga is for all bodies, and is accessible to everyone, as long as their heart is open. Cathy is a lifelong student of yoga, and is grateful to be sharing her love of yoga with you!
