FAQs

When can I tour the venue? 
You can make an appointment to tour the facility Monday-Friday 9am-6:30pm, evening hours and weekend hours are available on an as available basis (If there are not any events taking place during the time you are looking to visit). Email us at events@summerfieldfarms.com to make an appointment.

Can I bring my own food?

Summerfield Farms is proud to partner exclusively with four local catering teams: Fresh. Local. Good. food group, 1618 On Location, Southern Roots and Above & Beyond Catering. Other caterers are prohibited.

Can I provide my own alcohol?
You can provide your own alcohol and members of the catering staff will serve it.  You will also need to get a Limited Special Occasion Permit from the N.C. ABC Commission.

How far in advance do I need to book the venue? 
The sooner the better!  Secure your date with a deposit and then let all of your other wedding planning fall into place.

Can I use Summerfield Farms for my engagement photos?
You sure can.  We allow for a 3 hour time allotment that would need to be scheduled with your Venue Coordinator at The Barn.  We can extend the time frame an additional 3 hours for a $200 fee.

Are there any decorating restrictions? 
Decorating is permitted on the day of your event, 2 hours prior to your event.  Decorating may be scheduled 24 hours in advance if no other event is scheduled the day before your event.  Any wall or ceiling decorations need to be approved by a representative of The Barn.    No open flames are permitted in The Barn.  All candles must be in glass or metal containers.

Is there a dressing area for the bridal party and groomsmen?

Can we use other vendors?
Absolutely! We have an exclusive partnership with four catering teams as mentioned above. Other than catering, we welcome any and all vendors who complete our Vendor Agreement packet.

How many people can the farm accommodate?
We can accommodate an intimate event as well as large gatherings (up to 1,500 guests).

What is included with the venue rental?
Included with your venue rental:  tables and chairs for 150 people, tables for gifts, registry, food and beverages, and the bar(s), and the existing lighting.  We also provide garbage disposal and recycling.

When can we have access to the venue on the day of our event? 
Venue access begins at 9:00am on the day of your event.

What time do we need to be out of the event space?
Everyone and all personal items must be cleared out of the event space no later than 1 hour after the end time of the event, no later than midnight.

Will there be enough parking for our guests?
Yes, unless you are having an abnormally large event (over 600 people) we will have plenty of parking.  If larger than 600 people we will help to arrange bus transit.

Where is the farm located? 
We are located at 3203 Pleasant Ridge Road  Summerfield, NC 27358.  We have directions from all points outlined on our website.

Is this an actual working farm?
Yes! We raise 100% grass-fed beef and grow organic produce.

Is the barn heated and Air-conditioned?
Yes

Who will set up the event space? 
Our staff will set up all items provided by The Barn or subsequently rented from the Summerfield Farms Rental Company.  Set up of rental items from outside vendors or client-provided equipment is the responsibility of the client.
